Nathan Gedye was admitted to the bar in Auckland in 1979 and has practised as a litigation lawyer since that time. After some years of court work of all types, he joined Bell Gully’s litigation department in 1986, becoming a partner of the firm in 1988.

At Bell Gully, he was involved in a wide variety of commercial and civil litigation. Particular areas of involvement have been banking, insurance, professional liability insolvency and aviation cases. In addition to acting as counsel at all court levels, he is experienced in ADR procedures, arbitrations and various tribunals.

In 2004 he commenced practice as a barrister in Auckland. He has wide experience in many fields of commercial litigation including:
